Blinking Light on 4th Gen Apple TV cant restore in itunes

Hi I have two 4th gen Apple TVs I would love to get running for the family, but they do power on and itunes sees it as recovery mode and I go to restore and it gets to the Apple logo and goes off and sits then gets Error (4), tried turning off the firewall too.

Any help would be awesome.

Apple TV 3rd Generation stopped working and cannot be properly restored using iTunes. I have two Apple TV 3rd Generation. Both stopped working and cannot be properly restored using iTunes. The restore appears to work but when either is plugged into the TV they just intermittently flash the Apple TV screen. They try to give a stable TV picture input but can't. I have tried restore 3 times. The final message is always the same - restore complete, disconnect from the Mac and connect the Apple TV to TV set.

Restore your Apple TV - Apple Support

- Follow the details as described, step by step.

- Do power the Apple TV after connecting, but before starting the restore discovery.

- Verify that your USB cable is capable of data transfer (not just a charging cable).

If you can't restore your Apple TV, take your Apple TV to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for more help.

im feeling it might be the cable so thank you for your help, have a USB gen2 type C to type C coming
