I have updated my Apple Watch to OS 7 and the battery life has reduced dramatically.
before the new OS I used to use the watch for 18-20 hours a day without any charging and including 1 hour running. Now the battery lasts 14 hours.
I tried to switch off the new hand washing features without any significant improvement.
do you have any suggestion to go back to the previous battery life?

After installing a watchOS update, battery may be shorter while new background operations occur. It should resolve itself within 2-3 days. If not, you can try restarting your Apple Watch or re-pairing it to your iPhone.
I waited for 4 days after the OS update but the battery drain didn’t recover. I needed to re-pair the watch, then the day after the battery lasted 1 full day (almost 20 hours including 30 minutes running and 10% remaining).
thank you for the hint, but I think that Apple cannot release a new watchOS that bring such a problem.
