Is it safe wearing an apple watch working in fast food?

I work in fast food. Mainly a coffee machine and I am wondering how risky it is to wear my watch during work.

Hey there, Apple recommends that you try to avoid wearing your watch while using soaps, lotions, and cleaning chemicals. As they can affect the water resistant sealing on series 2 and up. So in a work environment washing dishes I’d recommend to take it off. With hot liquids having a piece of metal on your skin if you get hot liquid on you is not a good idea as you can get burned and it be exposed to you for a longer period of time than if you didn’t have it on. In summary I would try to avoid to having it on during a work, as it can get damaged, cracked or burned really easy if you don’t pay attention. I’d keep your iPhone in your pocket if you want to track your steps, but your watch should stay somewhere safe.

Coffee machines pour hot coffee shots and have a button that instantly expels hot water. I do dishes and cleaning on shift. Spills are common. Hot oil. I know that the series 2 and above is okay in shallow water but if a liquid other than water on shift especially reasonably hot splashes onto my watch if it will damage hardware. It isn't like I will submerge my wrist in everything as I wear gloves but worried about the odd spill or splash.
