Netflix surround sounds / atmos are not working after IOS 14 update

Hi All ,



I have installed the latest IOS14 in my Apple TV and noticed that Dolby surroundings are not working for Netflix 


It was perfectly working fine before and i start noticing this issue from last night


I am using onkiyo THX HT R997 device so not sure the issue is with Apple TV , Onkiyo or Netflix



Note - I have checked this issue in multiple onkiyo devices and able to replicate the same issue .


is there anyone else facing is the same issue ? Any solution for this ?

I have the same issue. I’ve contacted Netflix and they told me to contact the manufacturer - Apple.


I get atmos or 5.1 surround sound through all other apps (Amazon, Disney, Apple +, Tidal) and I get 5.1 in Netflix through my Sony blu-ray player and my Samsung TV.

It’s not an issue with my AVR or my connections.

It all points to a compatibility issue between the Apple TV and Netflix app.
