Netflix surround sounds / atmos are not working after IOS 14 update

I have the same issue. I’ve contacted Netflix and they told me to contact the manufacturer - Apple.

I get atmos or 5.1 surround sound through all other apps (Amazon, Disney, Apple +, Tidal) and I get 5.1 in Netflix through my Sony blu-ray player and my Samsung TV.

It’s not an issue with my AVR or my connections.

It all points to a compatibility issue between the Apple TV and Netflix app.

Same issue here. Netflix is so arrogant when reporting issues to them. They have had sound issues before, so bad that they cant get it right.

It has nothing to do with your surround processor .

I also am facing to the same issue on combination with Apple TV 4K and Netflix.

I am so sure that I could get 5.1 or atmos from Netflix before but after updating Netflix app to the latest sep 22th, it is saying only 2.0 ch.

Yesterday I got app update on Netflix and now it’s working well with 5.1 or Atmos.

please try update if you haven’t yet.
