Quicktime Pro no longer supported

Just upgraded to MacOS Catlina 10.15.6

Quicktime 7 Pro is no longer supported. Now what?

We use QT7pro to make fast simple edits, trim footage and loop mov files back and forth. Catalina no-longer supports QT7 Pro. Is there a way to add the functionality of 7pro to Quicktime Player 10.15.

We use Adobe Premier and After Effects for big projects but when all we need to do is a quick trim

or set a .mov file to loop back and forth Quicktime 10.15 just can't do it and opening a project in Adobe

then editing and rendering is a lot more time consuming.

Is there another option Im missing for fast trims and lopping back and forth?

I did not realize the new QT player could trim files, so thanks for that info. The trim function and interface is very nice. I guess my only real need then is a way to easily loop the videos back and forth. We create very short videos typically 2-3 seconds and need to loop them back and forth. Any suggestions how to pull that off with the new QT player?
