Husband and I are on one account but have individual iPhones. When someone calls either one of us the number shows under Recent calls each phone. Is there a way to eliminate that problem to show which recents are our own?

Axel gave you the correct advice. You and your husband really should NOT be sharing an Apple ID. But turning off calls on other devices will stop what you're seeing. You'll still see each others contacts and other issues can arise by sharing an Apple ID.
Thank you. Both of those were already set to OFF. Yes, we will have to set up a second account. Appreciate your help.
