Bewildered why iPad mail is deleting mails from server

I set up a POP account on the iPad using exactly the same settings as on my ipod touch. Yet on the iPad when a mail is deleted, it is also deleted from the server. On the ipod touch, the mail stays on the server, and I can download it later on my computer.

What the heck is going on here? How can I stop iPad Mail deleting messages from this POP mail account?

hi,

Go into your iPad email account.
At the bottom, click on "Advance" (or something like that).
Choose "server" and verify which case is checked.
If you want to always keep emails on your server, choose "never" (in the sens of never deleting).
