Hotspot 90 second time out fix?

Hi people,

i don’t have internet where I live and so I use my hotspot to access the internet while I work. In fact, I have two screens and two hotspots going all the time. The 90 second time out is super annoying, as I am constantly changing between screens, one or the other is constantly dropping out. To the outside world it looks like I am not available. Is there a fix for this? Can I change the length of time for the disconnect?

The current system is so frustrating.

Hoping for a fix :)

It appears that Personal Hotspot keeps disconnecting from your device. It only lasts 90 seconds, then it drops. We understand how frustrating this can be, and we're glad to help with this.


Set a passcode on iPhone - Apple Support -- Go to Settings > Display & Brightness and set Auto-Lock to  "Never" and see if you stay connected. Remember to physically lock your phone to keep the battery from being depleted. 


How to set up a Personal Hotspot on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support -- If you're using one specific method to connect to Personal Hotspot, see if using a different method keeps you from being disconnected.


If Personal Hotspot is not working on your iPhone or iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular) - Apple Support -- If you're still being disconnected, apply the steps under "Use these steps first".


If you're still being disconnected, contact your carrier to see if they can provide any advice for this issue.
