iPhone 'Watch' App stuck 'Checking for Update…' How do I stop it?
I have an iPhone XR running iOS 14. I recently was asked to 'Reset all Settings' on it to gain connection with AirPods (that's another story).
After starting the Phone back up after 'Reset all Settings' the phone displayed a pairing/syncing message with the watch.
In the 'Watch' app - My Watch tab - General - Software Update - it continuously shows a spinner with 'Checking for Update…' message. To stop it I've tried:
- Quiting the App (flicking up)
- Switching the phone off and on again
- Unpairing the watch and then pairing again
On the phone it had the watch listed twice under Bluetooth setting
I 'Disconnected' one and they both disappeared.
…while the watch app is still stuck on 'Checking for Update…'
The watch is staying it's up to date on 'Version 7.0'
Any idea what is happening???
or how to get the watch and phone working together again?
Thanks, Anthony
