format a SD card with iPad

iOS/iPadOS do not have the ability to format external media - such as USB Storage devices or SD Media cards.

SD Cards can usually be easily formatted in the Camera with which they are used - and, in many cases, it is recommended by many Camera manufacturers that you do so.

To my knowledge, you need to do it via computer or via your camera.
