Why no bullet points in tables in Pages for iPadOS?

I am trying to edit a document which requires bullet points in tables. I can copy and paste text with bullet points into the table and I can add bullet points (not very reliably) using scribble, so how can they be added simply? Apple wants us to use our iPads as our “next computer”. I’d love to do this, but with simple features like this missing in Pages, it will be impossible. I’m fed up with having to get my MacBook out just to format the contents of a table. Does anyone know if there is a way to do this other than those described, please?

There doesn’t appear to be. As a work around, if you format text outside of the table and copy it in to a table cell, it retains the bullet points.
