Pink and green vertical lines
Is this the pink and green line of doom or is this fixable? This just randomly appeared. It hasn’t been dropped or anything. It’s very much looked after and loved.

Safe Mode turns off a LOT of functionality in the GPU, only the very bare minimum is used. If your Mac has two GPUs (i.e., integrated and discrete), the discrete GPU is used exclusively but accelerated graphics are turned off.
If you have the time, it may be worth a clean install of macOS as the GB will likely ask you if you've tried it. If your data is backed up, it wouldn't hurt, and your personal data will be wiped in case it has to go in for service (win-win).

If you have reset NVRAM and SMC already, see if you can get into Safe Mode.
If not, then it may be time to contact Apple Support.
Godspeed. Meanwhile, be sure to backup your Mac (if you can) in Safe Mode.
Thank you, I have tried both and no difference unfortunately so Genius Bar will be booked. Although, I’m not holding out much hope.
i have my genuius bar appointment booked but now the Mac has randomly put itself into safe mode... no lines in safe mode which is strange. If it was the graphics card would it work in safe mode?
