Flagged Emails/Mailbox on iPhone

Is there a way to delete this mailbox? It shows 9 flagged emails when there are zero flagged emails and when I did have flagged emails, the count was still wrong. (I tried deleting the flagged emails, shutting down, restarting - nothing works). I'll come up with another way of tracking emails that actually works, but for now would like to get rid of the mailbox.

iPhone 11, iOS 13

Hi ChiVirgo,

We understand you're trying to get rid of the Flagged folder in the Mail app. We're happy to help.

While there isn't a way to delete the folder, you can change it so it doesn't show in your list of folders. To remove it, just go to the Mailboxes page in the Mail app, tap on Edit at the top and uncheck the Flagged folder.

Use the Mail app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

We hope this helps. Take care!
