Apple Pay on a Mac without Touch ID or Touch Bar In the past, when I paid with Apple Pay using my Mac, the payment approval screen simply popped up on my phone and I approved it there. Easy peasy. Now, it seems I need to use my Mac. And it's a disaster. I neither have a Touch Bar or Touch ID and double clicking on the Touch ID icon at checkout does absolutely nothing (which is contrary to Apple's own instructions that say it should allow you to just enter your password). Does anyone have a fix? I'd like to use ApplePay but it seems that Apple ruined it. The old way was perfect.

If it doesn't have Touch ID, you need to use either an iPhone or Watch to complete the purchase when using a Mac. See the following for instructions: Use Apple Pay on your Mac - Apple Support
