Apple Watch Series 1 update issue

Background: I have been using Apple Watch on and off since years. Recently started tracking my 'Outdoor Runs' frequently. Relying too much on such information such as Calories, Active Calories, Heart Rate etc.

I keep getting notifications to update the watch and when I tried to update the watch, it warned me of insufficient storage space. So I gave up on updating the watch.

Issue:

iPhone - I use iPhone X for pairing with my Watch. A couple days ago, I updated my iPhone to iOS 14. Added the 'Activity Widget' to my home screen. Since then, the data was not loading. That is, the 'Calories', 'Workout' and 'Stand' goals were not reflecting on my phone. But on my watch I could view them.

The next day, I couldn't see them on the either device. So, I restarted both my devices and it still wouldn't work.

So I navigate to the 'Apple Watch' app on my phone. It wont show me the Watch app, it only showed the update screen.

But then I got this message -

I tried this twice or thrice. And the next time, before it popped up, I clicked 'Cancel' on the top left and it asked me to Unpair the Device and reset to Factory Settings. I clicked 'Yes'.

It unpaired my Watch with my phone. I restarted both the devices and then tried pairing them again.

I got the above screen and had two options - 'Update Now' or 'Skip the Update'

I clicked on 'Update Now'

And I keep getting the below screen.

I keep pressing 'Try Again' It would not work. I even 'Start Over' the entire pairing process. But it still comes back to the same screen.

Now I am not able to use my watch cause I wanted to Update it.

Could some please help me solve it?

Thanks,

Aditya

PS: I restarted both devices multiple times between these processes.

Try uninstalling all profiles if you have any (Settings > General > Profile > Click on each profile > Remove Profile), and reset network settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings).

Thereafter, connect to the internet via WiFi, and pair with your apple watch again. The update should come through successfully. This worked for me after chatting with an Apple Support Specialist over the phone!
