The sound does not work on my bedroom TV which is a Visio connected with an HDMI cable to the Apple box that I have why will my sound not work

Have you tried another HDMI cable, ensured the cable is secure on both the Apple TV and your TV? If your Visio is a 4K TV, you should also use a 4K capable HDMI cable.
