Can you retrieve lost messages from my iPhone 8
If I have deleted my messages on my iPhone 8 can I retrieve them

Probably not. If you sync messages to iCloud then definitely not. If you don’t, and you have a backup that has the deleted messages, you can restore that backup to your phone. This will overwrite everything on the phone, however, not just the messages.
