I cannot sync on my iPod

Ok, I have been trying to sync my iPod Touch for hours now, it always stops after syncing 1 or 2 apps, no error message, iTunes just freezes, dead in the water. And nothing on the discussion forums says ANYTHING that is even remotely helpful.... can I please get some help?
