Pencil 2 compatibility

will the iPad air 3rd Gen get an updgrade that will allow it to use the pencil 2?

The second generation Apple Pencil uses a totally different pairing/charging solution - using hardware that the iPad Air3 does not have.

The second generation Apple Pencil uses a magnetic dock for both pairing and charging the Pencil. The iPad Air3 uses the Lightning connector, with which the second generation Apple Pencil is not electrically or physically compatible.
