image sequence import

I see that in 2012 it was suggested the best way to import a sequence

of images @ one frame per image is :

Import into Quick time and make a movie.

I cant see how to do it directly to the timeline,

so is this still the best/only way - using quicktime?

You can put all the stills into the time lines. Select them all. Press Control-D and type 1 to make them one frame.

The preference in FCP is a selection preference not an import preference so you have to change the duration in the timeline.

Another way is to use Compressor to create the image sequence. This gives to a single video file and many more options for formats and codecs.
