Deleting apps not working?

I click "remove app" after pressing down on an app on my home screen. Nothing happens. The app icon remains on the screen but will not respond when I press it. According to settings, the app no longer exists. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Restart your iPhone. Install the latest iOS update 14.0.1

Cannot remove app from home screen. I cannot remove the “offers up” app from my home screen. Its slightly grayed out and i cannot do anything. cannot remove any app Deleting apps by the method advised does not work. When I press the app it jiggles but no x sign appears in the left hand side of the app and the app cannot be deleted.
