new update tells me i need to have more storage on apple watch but it wont let me into my watch app without updating. it says it would have to set my watch back to factory settings

Same Problem. I used my iPhone watch app to update. The update says I need more storage but when I try to exit that window to delete apps and manage my storage in the watch app, it says if I leave update, it will restore my watch back to factory settings. There is no way I can unpair from the app if I can not get back into the app...as suggested by @fieryjack
