Hi Williamvv,
We understand your call log isn't showing contact names. We're happy to help.
In the Contacts app are the contact names currently showing? Do you have the contacts stored directly on the device or are they stored in iCloud?
If your contacts are stored in iCloud, go to System Preferences > [your name] at the top > iCloud, and turn the Contacts option off. Wait a few seconds then turn Contacts back on.
After toggling the Contacts sync, check the call log again and see if the contact names still aren't showing.
Set up and use iCloud Contacts
We hope this helps. Cheers!
Hi William,
Thanks for those additional details!
If those steps haven't helped, we'd recommend clearing the call history in your call log, then testing out FaceTime to see if it still won't show contact names. Here's those steps: Delete the call history in FaceTime on Mac
If the call log still doesn't work after that, we recommend contacting Apple Support directly: Get Support
Thank you for the reply!
I did as you suggested, and it did not work. When I try to place a call, I can type in part of the name, and FaceTime can find the contact. It's just missing from the call log.
Yes, they are stored in iCloud, and I can see them from contacts on my computer and my phone.
Thanks for your time, MoonJ. I had tried that repeatedly. It hasn't and doesn't work. I'll try Apple Support. Thanks.
Apple Support does not have an option for FaceTime support. ****!
