Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Dozens of calls in ONE day from this area code regarding problems with iCloud account.
They don't answer and want you to call ***-****-8257. It's going on all day and they are now leaving voicemail messages. I can't block the call because the 408-XXX exchange # is always different!

Experiencing this same issue today...didn't answer until about the 4th call because I wanted to tell them to quit calling. Now already up to 12 calls and it isn't the end of the day!!! Did it stop for you after one day?

Apple doesn't make unsolicited phone calls. If there was a problem you would be notified when attempting to log in, including when logging into this forum. Also see: Recognize and avoid phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support
Also, the caller id number shown on scam and marketing calls is frequently not the number actually originating the call. The number is often spoofed.
One option to consider is Settings > Phone > Silence Unknown Callers. See: Detect and block spam phone calls - Apple Support
I reported the calls to everyone I could think of. Carrier, government, etc. Calls stopped later in the day. They were relentless though!
