I can not get the origional ID an Password for the iPad How can I clear the activation Lock

I was given my daughter's iPad, and I can't clear the activation lock. She can't remember what the ID and Passwords are any more. How do I clear the activation lock. I want to give it to my grandson for school.

Either your daughter must obtain that Apple ID and password, or the iPad will remain useless forever.
