Deleting everything of an ipad mini

I wanted to delete everything off an old ipad mini of mine which has ios 9 but I can’t seem to figure out what’s wrong. When I write in the password to delete everything on the ipad, it says that the verification failed and that it could connect with the apple ID...

what should i do?

Security How can I be sure that all of my information is deleted from my IPad before I send it in for a refund after I bought my new IPad? I have erased all content on the old IPad. The screen now is at Hello.

Erasing IPAD Mini I have 2 IPAD mini's that I am trying to erase to sell, We bought new ones and I can't get them erased. It keeps telling me I need to sign in but then it says verification failed? Its the correct password. I deleted them from my account first, not sure if that is why. We were able to hook up the 2 new IPAD mini's with no problem.
