Forgot my notes password. How do I unlock it
You can reset that password, but that’ll render existing notes non-decrypt-able and inaccessible.

Once set, you cannot reset a locked notes password. The entire point of locking them is to make completely secure. If you could reset the password that would defeat the purpose of locking them to begin with.
Important passwords should be stored somewhere for easy recall. I have a locked metal notebook, with all my important passwords in it. If I forget something, I have immediate access to what it was set to.
