I saw dust in the top of the screen that's in between the rubber and screen so I covered the top part with electrical tape so it doest go in. Is this okay?

Theres like some white dust or just dust in it and its noticeable when you start co close the lid. Should I be worried or is this normal?

Why Risk a Damaged Device?
I use a microfiber cloth to pick the residue it out of there.
Write this Down when Sending This:
You have a one-year out-out-the-box, limited-warranty. So, if you ever send it in for coverage, then include a letter in the box, and ask them to remove the residue. They would likely do so. That have always done so for me. If I never mention it, they would not remove it.
Probably ntt a good idea. You likely won't be able to get the tape residue off.
The screen cover has a special thin coating that is rather delicate. Unless you want it looking like a shaved poodle with a skin condition, I recommend NOT putting anything on it.
