Struggling to set up new iPhone, keeps on asking me for Apple ID password

I got myself a new iPhone SE second generation... I cleared most of the photos from my old iPhone, and stored them on separate hard drives and on my iMac in a separate folder. I then back up the old iPhone SE, then I set up the new iPhone in the process of moving to a new Phone.. It does most of the things right, but where the problem happens, is it keeps on asking me for my Apple ID password in a loop. I removed the sim, put it back in the old iPhone because of this problem, which means I still need to use the old iPhone until this is sorted. I suppose I thought I needed to change my password... and that is what I did.. which was tedious, which means I have to relog into my iMac, Mabook Pro, iPad , old iPhone... and new iPhone.. my existing devices were fine.. but the new iPhone still throwing up the pop up dialogue, asking for the password after it it has been entered in several times, I want to scream. I am now reformatting the iPhone with Restore in iTunes, and probably try start over again, this time via iTunes, restoring from the backup from my old iPhone... don't know if that work... I hope this isn't a hardware issue, with the new iPhone.

I am wondering is it because I need to update the old iPhone to match that of the new one ?

(I have managed to make an online Personal Session now ) which might be of help... but it is only on Thursday..

Well it is upsetting when you hear someone question it when I spent £569 on a new phone , hoping things would run smoothly when you set it up. I did not go to my provider for a new phone, I bought it directly from Apple, because I am shielding with the coronavirus kicking about, and I caught the virus in March and still not 100% recovered from it, and avoided going into town, setting a new contract etc etc.. where I just buy a new phone, slip in existing sim from old phone(which has passed its buy phone with contract scheme, and just on a normal £10 a month contract for the sim.) You think it is because of EE ? When I disabled the find my iPhone to reformat it (well second time round now) , the password worked ! , but the main iCloud login on the iPhone, is the problem, it keeps on asking me for password when it is correct, and when I deliberately or accidentally type it in wrong, it tells me it is wrong.. why keep on asking me for password when it is correct, and I changed my password thinking it would fix this. My Macs, iPad, old phone all accept the new password.. but the new iPhone is being a pain with it.

Yes first time round I had my sim in , and yes I have my own wifi.. second time round I restored the phone without a sim.. still had problems with the password. was it because my old iPhone is still on the latest iOS13 ? and this one is on the iOS14 ? it appears I have to try contact apple tomorrow :( and is this also because of two factor authentication.. ? I haven't enabled that because how would I log in on Mavericks , if I need to reinstall an app from the App Store ?

Yes easily withe the iCloud.. but the appleID settings , I can, it asks for user name and password, then prompts me the security questions and then nags about two factor which I skip for my reasons to with the use of Mavericks for stability with my art and creativity software on my MacBook (I boot Mojave on external SSD, if I need MacBook for internet and iTunes) , and go through them and then I am in.

I think, turning the router off for 10 seconds and on again, and then setting up manually to restore from an iCloud backup resolved the problem... so far.. no more nagging for password to be endlessly reinserted. It failed though iTunes, it failed originally through the feature where you have to put the phones near each other... I think it is fixed..but my photos are not loading yet and then unable to manage iCloud storage... maybe if I just leave it for the night to do it's thing

Edit... it starting to fail again with "Unknown Error occurred" :(

I finally fixed most of it before I got an Apple personal to contact me.., where I was explaining to her how I fixed it , as I did it when I was waiting for her call. Any way what I did was ,I reformatted?restored the phone , to factory, then I removed it from the authenticated devises list via the browser in the Apple ID settings, started all over again... was doing the same thing again , then I saw I was logged into the iPhone , but it was asking my password repeatedly still.

So I had cancel the dialogues until they gave up, then signed out of the iPhone with my Apple ID, and resigned in again... ,but I had lost all my passwords.. so I reformatted/recovered the phone again I think I have done this 4 or 5 times. Everything seems to be normal except for messages in cloud now wants 2 factor which gives me anxiety , and the keychain toggle doesn't want to turn on, and authenticated devices are not listed in the menu...

I am going to wait a while for the authenticated devices to be listed.. but I can see them through find my iPhone app and they are accessible through the browser on the Macs. But the keychain toggle I have to now troubleshoot since it started doing that on the old iPhone as well.
