Mute on Siri remote?

I have a Apple TV HD 32GB. I noticed that when programming the Siri remote to control volume in tvOS 14 it now includes programming for Mute. However, where is the mute on the Siri remote?

The recent addition of setting up a Mute button may indicate the release of a new (and hopefully improved) Siri Remote.

The current model does not have a Mute function and there is no indication in any of the references of a way to mute.

Apple Event on Oct. 13, 2020 may answer this question.

I'm thinking it wouldn't be that hard for Apple to program the Volume down button to register a double tap or a long press to activate mute.

There is no mute as far as I know. This might be for programming other remotes or using your TV remote’s mute button
