I have a sleep schedule set up in the health app but is there any way for it track your sleep without turning do not disturb on automatically?

Easy fix go to shortcuts app!
go to automation bottom of screen middle button
create a personal automation for a specific time ie of day 1 min after sleep time.
have automation remove DND. (You will have to type DND in the search bar)
*** very importantly remove flag to ask!

Settings for Do Not Disturb apply when iPhone is in Sleep Mode. You can change these settings; for example, you can allow calls from selected contacts to come through. See Set Do Not Disturb on iPhone.
That’s how I’m feeling! I like having notifications on while I’m sleeping in case of anything important... but I like the dark screen and morning screen for when I wake up in the morning or middle of night so I don’t get blinded.
When I get a support call late at night I don't want my phone waking my wife up, who suffers enough for my job as it is. I have an apple watch and my phone is perpetually on silent, with my watch alerting me to calls. When the watch is in "Sleep" on my wrist it does not vibrate if I receive a call. Currently, I have to leave the phone's ringer on, to wake both of us up. It seems that a "Mirror iPhone Alerts" option should allow me to get alerted to calls via my watch
This is irritating only because it’s an outside app and an extra $3.99 to do something my $400 watch should be able to do. I have a Garmin Fenix5 that starts tracking as soon as I fall asleep. If I could put my Garmin and my Apple Watch together, they’d be perfect. Individually, they’re both lacking.
Definitely frustrated by this -last night I missed a call from my alarm company (who are in my favorites). I have favorites set to come through when dnd is on - why doesn’t this also happen when sleep mode is on?

Yea it’s frustrating. Hopefully they update it soon. It’s a stupid limitation.

Great, but I’m sure those Uber loud Emergency and Amber alerts will come through just fine. We should have a choice to use DND and not have it forced upon us. C’mon Apple.
