I can't update my Apple Watch to the new watchOS 6 from my iPhone 6 plus I'm trying to do an update from the watch APP in my iPhone 6 plus and the system prompts that I need to update iOS to the latest version before I can update the watch, but surprisingly, when I go into the update section in configuration, iOS says that it has already the last version! (by the way, it is 12.4.1) So, I'm in a loop that won't allow me to update my watch! I already did the unpair and pair process and that didn't help at all... I hope the answer to my question isn't to buy a newer phone, because that would be a JOKE! Can anyone gimme a hand with this? THANKS IN ADVANCE...

My apple watch is at version 5.3.4 and my iphone 6 has all updates current. I tried upgrading just the watch but it will not upgrade. How can I update the watch without updating also the iphone at the same time? My apple watch is at version 5.3.4 and my iphone 6 has all updates current to 12.4.4. An iphone 5s will only update to ios12,if the watch has WatchOS6 then you need a phone with ios13 or higher.
