SIM card doesn’t work

phone Says there’s no SIM card available or can’t read. I’ve turned off and on the phone removed the SIM card and it keeps saying not readable.

Try this:

If you see 'invalid SIM' or 'no SIM' on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support


On top of this you can also check if your sim card works in another phone.
