Red/orange dot

It's a new feature in OS14. It tells you if the microphone or camera is being used. It's orange for mic and green for camera.

This helps you see what apps are turning on and if you want them to do this.

I find it quite useful.

You can't turn it off. You will see it whenever the microphone is active.
