How can I disable the grey 'word suggestion bar' at the bottom of the screen?

When using the iPad Pro and type anything a grey bar appears at the bottom, often with other word suggestions/spellings. The trouble is this bar can often block information and/or clickable objects and it starts to get annoying. I know you can click the arrow on the far right to hide it but you then have to do this every time you go to write something. Is there a way to permanently hide it?

Hey there tobygunnee,

We understand the concern over the contextual bar across the bottom of the iPad Pro in some apps. This would be related to predictive text and you can see options to tweak these settings here: Use predictive text on iPad. If you so prefer you can turn it off entirely using the steps under "Turn off predictive text".

Cheers!
