My son’s phone is stuck after FaceTime. Can’t open apps or hard reboot the phone. Can only hold down app and delete.

Good Afternoon rddani,

We see that your son's iPhone is stuck with FaceTime open, and we understand wanting to get this resolved so he can get back to using the iPhone. You've come to the right place for assistance with this.

As the iPhone is stuck with the FaceTime camera open, we'd recommend trying to force close the app to see if that helps. For assistance with this, check out the following resource:

How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you're seeing that the app isn't able to be closed, the next step would be to perform a force restart of the iPhone. To check out the steps on how to complete this, take a look at the following resource:

Force restart iPhone

Once you've completed this, we'd recommend checking the iOS version to make sure that this is fully up to date. If you're needing the steps to update the iPhone, you can use the steps of this resource:

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

We look forward to hearing if these steps are able to help resolve what is occurring with the iPhone.

Have a great day!
