Problems changing credit cards

I got a new credit card. I tried to update my Apple Music billing info the following day. For some reason, it wouldn't let me update it. I even spent half an hour on the phone with tech support and they couldn't fix it either. But I figured eventually I would receive an email telling me to update my billing info.

Sure enough, that email arrived yesterday. So, I followed the link and where the "EDIT" is at the upper right, it is grayed out and I can't click on it! I'm so frustrated. It's like they don't want me to continue with Apple Music.

Any helpful suggestions are appreciated

Start Here: https://appleid.apple.com/

Contact your Bank:

Contact your Financial Institution (i.e. bank), and see if you need allow this purchase to go through.

Other Thoughts - Being Greyed Out:

  • Use: a Computer (rather than a mobile device)
  • Use: Another Device
  • Use: Another Web Bowser
  • Use: Temporary Administrator
  • Clear: Safari Cookies and Cache
  • Boot: into Safe Mode (Hold Shift Upon Boot)

Reinstall the macOS:

If of no success, then reinstall the macOS. Be certain you backup your Mac first. Once backed up, proceed with the reinstallation. So, Create a Time Machine backup of your Mac, so that you can have something to restore your Mac from, should anything go wrong with the reinstall. Sometime changes(i.e. updates) are made to the macOS, and then settings(i.e. for the GUI) become manipulated, technically.
