Hi Letsgetthishouse,

We understand you'd like to change the next day's alarm to have an off option instead of snooze.

With iOS 14, a new feature has been added called Sleep Schedule. This can be setup in both the Clock app and the Health app. Based on your screenshot, you can select 'Change' to make adjustments to either just the next day's alarm, or the entire schedule set up, including turning snooze on or off. Here's more information:

Use Bedtime to track your sleep on your iPhone

Track your sleep on Apple Watch and use Sleep on iPhone

This should help with getting your device set up as desired, but let us know if we can help further.

Take care!

Hi, thanks for the reply.

There are several bothersome things about the alarm app.

  1. Sleep | Wake up alarm sounds are not available for Other alarms. The only reason I use the Sleep | Wake up alarm is for the more pleasant sounds.
  2. When choosing an alarm sound or setting the volume, the alarm always plays through the speakers. Sometimes I set alarms late at night and I don't want to use the default sound or volume, but changing either means waking others up. Please make an option to test alarm, and also an option to play the sounds through headphones ONLY when setting up alarms.
  3. Please put the toggle switch back where the Change button is in the screenshot above. Let's say I set my wake up alarm for 7AM on Monday. It goes off at 7AM and I press any button causing it to snooze. It begins snoozing for 10 minutes. However, after 5 minutes, I decide I'm ready to get up and don't want the subsequent snooze alarm to sound. I do not wish to turn the alarm off for Tuesday morning. I just want to cancel the snooze. Before iOS 14, I could use the toggle switch to quickly turn the alarm off then back on. Now, you have to click Change, then turn off the wake up alarm and keep it off until after the snooze period passes, and then you can turn it back on for the following day--an easy thing to forget to turn back on. Otherwise a quick off/on does nothing. The snooze alarm still goes sounds after the 10 minute period.
  4. More isn't always better. I have no interest in a health app that tracks my sleep. I do have interest, however, in pleasant sounds and an interface that's easy to navigate when I wake up groggy and half blind. Please simplify and return control to the user.

You can submit your feedback to Apple here:

You can also download (or, if your ambitious create) your own alert tones. When you are setting an alarm, chose the Sound option. Go all the way to the top and tap on "Tones Store". I'm sure you can find something you like. Then, you can use the regular alarm which has the features you prefer.
