IOS 14 no service and unable to update

I updated to iOS 14 the other day and now I am getting this error, there is no available carrier updates to download/install. This happened the other day but I resolved it by removing the sim and re-inserting it but that hasn’t worked this time. On top of that I am unable to download the newest update -I’m assuming these are linked.

I've;

taken out and reinserted sim

aeroplane mode and then back to normal

reset network settings

remove sim, reboot re-insert

but to no avail,

anyone got any ideas? It first happened as soon as I updated to iOS 14 then re-appeared late last night.

From the screenshots we see that you're having trouble updating, and seeing an alert that cellular update failed. We want to help with this! You've completed some great steps to help resolve this. From here, complete the steps under "What to do next" exactly as they're shown. This includes ensuring you have a back up of your iPhone before continuing: If you see an Update Failed or Apple Pay Not Available alert after iOS update or restart
