iPad Pro front light

Is there any light in the front of iPad Pro? I’ve seen it once blinking. What is it actually?

Hi Joy-K-V,

Thanks for the additional information.

It sounds like you're describing the proximity sensor or the ambient light sensor. Whenever you unlock your iPad Pro using Face ID, the sensors do a quick scan and under the right lighting conditions, you may see a light emitted from near the camera.

Hope this helps! Best wishes.

HI Joy-K-V,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you have questions about a light on the front of your iPad Pro as you have seen it blinking. We'd like to help you with this.

When you saw the light blinking, where was it originating from? Was it on the display? According to the iPad Pro technical specifications, there are no light sources on the forward facing side of the iPad Pro.

Keep us updated so we can continue to isolate where you saw this light.

Take care.
