ipod disabled

My daughter's Ipod touch has been locked up. It shows ipod disabled, connect to itunes. I'm trying and nothing is working. I've held down the power and home button. Nothing. Help!!

If you forgot the passcode on your iPod touch, or your iPod touch is disabled - Apple Support
