If I sold my Apple Watch how do I remove my Apple ID and password so the new user can connect

my apple watch is asking for an apple id i no longer have how do i connect my apple watch to my phone if i have a new apple id? the apple id its asking for no longer exists so its not like i can just go change the password or something.
