My MacBook won’t start and won’t let me update it

when I try to turn on my computer I get an error page like this one and then I try go into recovery mode and update the OS it says temporarily unavailable.. this happened after I tried to update my computer last night and it said that it couldn’t update it. Unsure of what to do next I can’t go from a previous backup because I’ll lose all my school work.

Reset SMC by following the directions applicable to your MacBook here ➔ How to Reset SMC. If that does not solve things then-
Reset NVRAM/PRAM by following the directions applicable to your MacBook here ➔ How to Reset NVRAM/PRAM. If that does not solve things then-
Enter ➔ Safe Mode and see if the screen issue still exists in Safe mode. Log out of Safe Mode and then reboot computer. If that does not solve things then-
Finally if none of the above works then you can enter ➔ macOS Recovery Mode and reinstall the macOS and see if that solves it.
