You've posted in the Numbers for Mac forum but your signature line says iPad. The solution is basically the same for both macOS & iOS/iPadOS but with slight differences.


In macOS, Numbers 10.2 hove the cursor over the top of the table & then click the down-facing arrow & choose the option you want.


In iOS/iPadOS tap the top of the table then choose Column Actions…then sort ascending or descending.
