Find My unavailable - Unable to connect to server

I did a search and it seems as though I am the only one experiencing this problem today?

I use Find My Friends every day and this is a first... after scanning for your one minute it displays the error, "Find My Unavailable - Unable to connect to server. Please try again later."

What I've done to diagnose the issue:

Restarted app
Tried both WiFi and cell network.
Restarted phone
Reviewed the system status page (Canada): https://www.apple.com/ca/support/systemstatus/ no outages on Apple ID or Find My.

Is there anything else I can do?

I first noticed this at about 5:20 p.m. PST

Anyone else?

I guess the system status pages are really slow (40 minutes late) in updating!

Well, now I know it's not me.

I'd hate to be on Apple's IT team tonight. :(

Update

I just noticed that my Apple ID had an error message (again, for first time).

Update Apple ID Settings

Some account services require you to sign in again.

After re-entering my Apple ID password and waiting for about one minute, I see the error:

Verification Failed

There was an error connecting to the Apple ID server.

:(
