Stop apps from updating on the home screen

So I refused to update to the latest OS and i was sitting on iOS 10 until yesterday I needed an app that required me to update so I'm currently on iOS 14. With this came the feature of updating apps by trying to open them on the home screen. Is there a way I can turn this off? I don't want to update my apps at the moment and I can't use them otherwise.

Hey there RojoCoolz,

Thanks for reaching out about your iPhone and how to manage App updates. We'll be happy to help as we use many of the new features in iOS 14 daily.

We have this great guide that goes over the manual controls on how you can update your apps: Update apps or use automatic downloads

If you have any additional questions, let us know! We'll be happy to continue.

Cheers
