Old iMac, with High Sierra 10.13.6 ,won't open Numbers documents made with older Numbers
iMac, macOS 10.13
Numbers won't update.
Running High Sierra 10.13.6 and cannot be updated.

It only says that numbers needs to be upgraded.
I finally opened Numbers by going thru iCloud. It took a while but it works. Haven’t tried it this AM, but hope it still works.

What version of Numbers was used to make these documents? This is the first I have heard of older files not being able to be opened in a more recent version. Is there an error message?
I have only heard of it happening the other way around. Is it updated to the latest version of Numbers it can update to?
