I know that Safari 14 is supposed to have webp support, but after I updated, I still can't see WebP images on my website using Safari. Does this mean Safari 14 doesn't support webp? Or do I need to do something to make them show up?

Probably because of the server settings. My test image doesn't work locally via file://... but works via http://... in Safari 14.
Oddly, iOS Safari does properly display WebP images while macOS Safari does not (including Technology Preview v14.0.1).
For example, on iOS, this image opens inline while on macOS it initiates a download.
I haven't yet found an explanation as to why this is the case.
I wondered the same thing. From what I can tell, you have to be running Safari 14 on macOS Big Sur. I guess it's a system wide thing, not just the browser, so anything before Big Sur won't show webp.
