On my 2014 iMac keyboard pressing the Fn key alone showed the desktop. Now I have to press Fn plus F11 to show the desktop. How can I program the keys so that pressing Fn alone does the job?

I figured out how hide/show desktop using only the fn key. Open Mission Control. Now, you’ll see two drop-down menus next to the “Show Desktop” option. From the one on the left, you can assign a keyboard shortcut, and from the second, you can choose a mouse shortcut. And you have the "Show/Hide Desktop" option with only the fn key! Yea!!
FWIW, pressing the Fn key alone should have never shown the Desktop or anything else. If it did, you couldn't use the Fn key for any other function. It's a modifier key.
I'm telling you, it did.
Well, as I said, you won't be able to use the fn key with anything else. I guess if you never do, that won't matter.
