The Appleplay icon has disappeared from my screen. However, I am still able to use my apps? How do I get the icon back?

The CarPlay icon actively shows up on your car's screen once CarPlay is connected and recognized. There appears to be a connectivity issue between your iPhone's CarPlay app and your Car's software.

I recommend that you-

Try and Force Restart your iPhone exactly as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

• Press and quickly release Volume UP button
• Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
• Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF). 

After that try to connect to your car again.
